A Look Back of 2006

Vintage McQueen. After looking at the new collection by Sarah Burton, I must say, it was like a breath of fresh air for the firm. Then I remembered the true inspiration behind the entire collection. The Widows of Culloden, we see Alexander McQueen's interpretation of what would the widows wear after the battle. It truly was an amazing way to show the by-far presentation of his work, a live hologram of Kate Moss!! Everyone was so shocked at the little light in the middle of the runway that turned into a model. The great amount of sophistication was present throughout the entire show, from suits to dresses and gowns. The delicate and  hard fabrics he used to show the detailed craftsmanship in every piece. The most outstanding piece in this collection were the birds, or the head pieces, I really believe that Alexander McQueen loved birds so much (if you look closely at all of his past collections).
